The ZSM joint is designed for riser pipes, it consists of two components welded to each edge of a pipe or a filter. It has a smaller external profile compared to other connection systems, such as flanges. Thanks to its design, the ZSM joint allows for quick and simplified installations without the need for special tools, making disassembly and maintenance operations easier and significantly reducing time and operating costs. The hydraulic seal is ensured by two O-rings housed in the external grooves of the male component. Torsional resistance is provided by a pin applied to the male part, which engages with and fits into the groove of the female component.
Two flexible springs, inserted into dedicated slots on both components, effectively counteract the tensile force. ZSM joints are available for pipes and filters with diameters ranging from 60.3 mm to 609.6 mm.
